Joe has been a lead singer, a record producer, a voice over artist, and currently (make the leap with me here) does hostage rescue and special operations training. But he still gets hell at home from his father Henry who is this crusty veteran in an all military family Joe just happens to be part of. So Joe sends me these funny exchanges that crack me up and I asked him if I could put one up here. This is the latest:

...as Joe walks downstairs and into the kitchen to say goodbye for a few weeks...

Henry: "So where you off to again?"

Joe: "Ecuador. I have to train Counter-Terror forces at the facility. After that I might have to go to the Caribbean for a bit to work on this project for the Air Force so I'm not sure how long it will take to get back."

Henry: "You're just going to work on your tan."

Joe: "Yes Pop that's exactly what I'm doing -- working on my tan."

Henry: "So, what, you think you can just go on vacation any time you want and goof off... did you bring down the garbage? I don't want it sitting up there in your apartment for a goddamn month while you're working on your fucking tan. How are you getting to France? Are you flying?"

Joe: "Ecuador. Yes I'm FLYING to fucking Ecuador. Yes my apartment is fine and I have to go.

Henry: "Mr. Bigshot flying to Brazil to work on his tan."

Joe: "OK I'm going now..."

Henry: "Try not to get shot..."

Joe: "I'll try, thank you, see ya in a bit... "

Henry: "Putz."
